Q
Series Carbuetors feature
Proform high flow main bodies.
These main bodies are than hard tool machined to exacting
specifications to provide "real world" venturi/throttle bore
combination for throttle response and maximum wide open air flow. Screw
in air bleeds enable fine tuning of both idle and high speed systems.
All Q Series carburetors also feature billet CNC machined
metering blocks with 4 stage emulsion for more precise fuel metering,
improved throttle response and a more uniform fuel curve and jet
extention already installed. One of the newer features of all Q Series
carburetors is Quick Fuel Technologies CNC machined billet throttle
body. These throttle bodies feature slabbed, Teflon coated throttle
shafts and are assembled with Teflon ribbon bearings, low profile
button head throttle plate screws for maximum airflow with minimal
throttle effort. These carburetors also feature an adjustable seconday
idle speed bracket. This allows fine tuning of the secondary throttle
position for improved idle quality. Q Series carburetors also use Quick
Fuel Technologies own die cast aluminum float bowls. These float
bowls feature dual threaded inlets, dual sight glass for convenient
float level setting. An additional two threads of engagement reduces
the possibilty os stripping threads out of the main body.
Dedicated floats for specific applications ensures optimum carburetor
performance charachteristics without having to purchase additional
upgrade components.

P Series Carbuetors feature Proform high flow main
bodies. These main bodies are than hard tool machined to exacting
specifications to provide "real world" venturi/throttle bore
combination for throttle response and maximum wide open air flow. Screw
in air bleeds enable fine tuning of both idle and high speed systems. Scalloped, symetrical
throttle bore openings provide minimal restriction to air flow, upgraded "racing" booster veturi provide
expanded operating range. All P Series carburetors also feature billet
CNC machined "P" metering
blocks with 5 stage changeable emulsion and idle feed restritions.
Alcohol and 3 circuit carburetors use 4 stage emulsion metering blocks
for more precise fuel
metering, improved
throttle response and a more uniform fuel curve and jet extention
already installed. P Series
carburetors feature Quick Fuel Technologies "Super Duty" throttle
body. These die cast throttle bodies are CNC machined to exacting
specifications and will comply with all santioning association rules.
Strenghening ribs reinforce the typical weak areas; thicker cross
sections ensure excellent sealing to the main body. Reinforced positive
throttle stops eliminate throttle shaft "over-centering" and reduces
load on the throttle shaft at wide open throttle. P Series carburetors also use Quick
Fuel Technologies own die cast aluminum "P" series float bowls. The "P"
series float bowl is made from a special marine grade alloy for
superior corrosion resistance and weight a half-pound less than old
style zinc float bowls. These
float bowls
feature an increase lenght, giving them addiotional fuel capacity for
high horsepower race engines. Internal baffles prevent an unstable
float level due to fuel slosh. FUEL CHUTE design significantly reduces
areation and helps direct fuel to the bottom of the bowl, toward the
main jet pick up area. They also have dual threaded inlets, dual
sight glass for convenient float
level setting. An additional two threads of engagement reduces the
possibilty os stripping threads out of the main body. Dedicated
floats
for specific applications ensures optimum carburetor performance
charachteristics without having to purchase additional upgrade
components.

Dominator P Series
All P-Series 4500 Dominator carburetor main bodies feature a
custom hand-polished venturi section that not only enhances the
cosmetic apperance but enchance air flow. These caburetors also have
Quick Fuel Technologies CNC machined billet aluminim metering blocks
which feature three circuit metering (gasoline carburetors) changeable
emulsion, idle feed and intermediate bowl feed and discharge. Alcohol
carburetors carburetors also also feature a billet metering block
dedicated for alcohol use utilizing 5/16 jets. Quick Fuel Technology
Dominator Series carburetors have their patented P Series
Dominator die cast float bowls weighing a half pound less than
conventiional float bowls. These bowls also have an increased lenght
for more capacity, internal baffles prevent fuel slosh and Quick Fuel's
"FUEL CHUTE" deisgn significantly reduces areation and helps direct
fuel to the bottom of the float bowl towards the main jet pick up area.
Dual sight glass windows facilitate fuel level setting. Each bowl is
equipped with dual fuel inlets and include a -8 AN fuel inlet thread
and a fuel inlet plug.

Carburetor Rebuild Kits Performance
rebuild kits contain only the finest components that meet or exceed
O.E.M. specifications. All kits feature ISO-9000 machined needle and
seat assemblies and accelerator pump diaphrams. Preciosn die cut
gaskets feature nylon inlet nut and bowl screw gaskets.
|

|
|
Main Jets All Quick Fuel Technology
main jets are precision manufactured to an exacting flow standard.
Tolerances to the middle 1.5% of the limit band meet or exceed O.E.M.
specifications. There is approximatly a 4.5% flow difference between
each jet number. This will give you a consistant and predictable flow
difference from each jet number. Note: These numbers correlate to
Holley main jet flow rates.

Power Valves The standard by which
all other power valves are measured. Quick Fuel Technologies exclusive
in'house design has become the power valve of preference by
professional race teams in virtually every circuit where carburetors
are used. Not only does the FOUR DOOR power valve have a much greater
flow capacity (vital for alcohol applications) but a quicker response
rate and tighter limit bands allow engine builders and tuners to
precisly tune the power enrichment phase of their calibration. Each
FOUR DOOR power valve is hand tested and set to the stamped value. The
opening and closing specifications are 1/2 inch HG above and below the
satmped value. The thicker molded diaphram adds increased protection
againt a backfire induced rupture.

Needle and Seats Needle and Seat
assemblies from Quick Fuel Technology acheive the highest flow rates
possible. The inlet doors match exactly the adjustment nuts flats to
align with the fuel bowl's inlet passage. Perfect alignment of the
inlet door and this passage ensures optimum fuel flow. The large stem
base on the needle provides for a more accurate response to the
movement of the float arm.

Transitional Blend Carburetor Spacers. Common
knowledge and experience tells us that open spacers help top end power
and four hole spacers help mid range power. Now the best of both worlds
have been merged into one. The unique transitionary blend from the four
hole ports at the base of the carburetor to the open plenum of the
intake manifold has provided tangible gains in both mid range and high
RPM power.
